Waterstreet Dance

. Winter Carnival is a massive, roughly week-long celebration that happens at Michigan Tech, where we don't have classes, and there is a whole bunch of entertainment and activities happening on campus and in the surrounding area for everyone to enjoy outside in the winter. During this time, there is a larger show brought into the Rozsa Center for end-of-the-week entertainment. This year's show was the Water Street Dance Milwaukee Company. I was initially brought on to this project to serve as the Master Electrician over the load in and shows. On the Sunday of Winter Carnival week, I got a call from the company's artistic director asking if I could be the Lighting Designer for the shows at the Rozsa. So, with less than a week's notice, I became the show's Lighting Designer. After receiving paperwork, files, and videos, I was able to put together a comprehensive design that blew away the audience and performers alike.
